Canine Diagnostics
- Laser Therapy: Laser Emits light at a wavelength that we cannot see, and it is taken up by cells in the body. The cells convert that light into energy which they use to increase their metabolic rate, taking in nutrients and eliminating waste more quickly. As such, cellular turnover is increased and would healing is accelerated. Hot spots, cuts/scrapes, and inflammation are healin gin half the time it typically took. Cells in that area also release anti-pain and anti-inflammatory mediators. Swelling reduction and pain control is successfully achieved in wounds and/or joints. Arthritic patients have shown to have relief after a treatment of laser therapy as well.
- Ultrasound: A type of diagnostic technique that uses ultrasound waves to produce an imaging study. We can see internal images of the patient’s body. This technique does not use a radiation, instead it uses high-frequency sound waves to create a picture of what is inside your pet’s body. A completely non-invasive, painless way to diagnose and evaluatemany common diseases.
- Bloodwork: We can analyze a basic blood profile in house, or send out to a corresponding laboratory for specific lab testing.
- Digital Radiology: A radiograph (also known as an x-ray) is a type of photograph that can look inside the body and reveal information that may not be discernible for the outside. Can be used to evaluate almost any organ in the body as well as bones. Radiographs are painless, safe, and completely non-invasive, and it uses only very low doses of radiation. The amount of radiation used is so low that it is safe for pregnant females and very young pets.
