Bovine Health Evaluation

  • Health Certificates: Health Certificates are typically acceptable for 30 days. If there are multiple animals to be listed we ask that you send us the animals information (Tags numbers, Other IDs, Breed, Gender, Age/DOB, any Vaccines given and the date they are given), so that we can be efficient and accurate when evaluating the animals.
  • Disease and Infection Evaluation
  • Pregnancy Checks: We can confirm pregnancy for female bovine through rectal palpation or ultrasound depending on how far along they are in pregnancy. This can be done at our clinic or on farm, as long as you are located in our service area.
  • Synchronizing: We can assist in establishing protocols for effective synchronizing schedules for breeding.

Bovine Diagnostics

  • In-House Lab Pregnancy Checks: We can analyze blood samples for pregnancy for bovine. We run these blood tests on Fridays. We ask that we have the samples by 2PM. Blood can be sampled between 28 -39 days of pregnancy or if they are over 74 days pregnant.
  • Radiology: A radiograph (also known as an x-ray) is a type of photograph that can look inside the body and reveal information that may not be discernible for the outside. Can be used to evaluate almost any organ in the body as well as bones. Radiographs are painless, safe, and completely non-invasive, and it uses only very low doses of radiation. The amount of radiation used is so low that it is safe for pregnant females and very young pets. Radiographs can help broken bones, chronic arthritis and a variety of other conditions.
  • Ultrasound: A type of diagnostic technique that uses ultrasound waves to produce an imaging study. We can see internal images of the patient’s body. This technique does not use a radiation, instead it uses high-frequency sound waves to create a picture of what is inside your pet’s body. A completely non-invasive, painless way to diagnose and evaluate many common diseases.
  • Bloodwork: We can analyze a basic blood profile in house, or send out to a corresponding laboratory for specific lab testing.
